Menaggio: Last Minute Lido

We had planned to kayak our last morning in Lake Como and we were especially excited about it since the weather seemed sunny and since our boat trip had been cut short a few days before. But, a what’s app message saying conditions were too windy to kayak left us without a planned activity for the day.

 After doing some fast-fingered google searching, we decided to venture across the lake to the town of Mennagio which had a public lido with mixed reviews. Again, it was a bit of a journey to make our way there due to ferries that didn’t go the route or times we expected. But, once we arrived and got settled in, we were pleasantly surprised. We made a day of it enjoying the large pool and access to the lake.

Fun fact: Swim caps are compulsory in Italian pools.
